REGISTRATION
RESIDENCE ELIGIBILITY
REQUIREMENTS
· Players are eligible to participate in the Thornydale Little League only if they reside within the boundaries as identified on the league map that has been approved by Little League Baseball.
· At the time of registration ALL parents/guardians of both new and returning player(s) will be required to identify and verify their residency on the league boundary map. If a player(s) resides outside the league boundaries they will not be permitted to play in the league. They will be directed to contact the Little League program in their boundary area.
· A player will deemed to reside within the league boundaries if:
o His/her parents are living together and are residing within the league boundaries OR;
o Either of the player’s parents (or court appointed guardian) who reside within the league boundaries. “Residence,” “reside” and “residing” refers to place of bona fide continuous habitation. A place of residence once established shall not be considered changed unless parents, parent or guardian makes a bona fide change of residence.
· Residence for new (first year) players shall be established and supported by photo copy documents from THREE of the following categories to determine residency of such parent(s) or guardian:
1. Driver’s License
2. Voter Registration Card
3. Vehicle Insurance
4. Homeowner or tenant records (mortgage deed, rental lease)
5. School Record (report record) NOTE: document must have residency of child listed
6. Cable, internet or satellite records or bills
7. Utility bills (gas, electric, water, phone, waste disposal)
NOTE: Can only provide one (1) utility bill—if two or more are brought at time of registration they will not be accepted.
REGISTRATION
RESIDENCE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
· Player(s) that are returning to the league and have moved to a different address within the league boundaries will be required to provide the three (3) proofs of residency as outlined.
· Players that are returning to the league and reside at the same address as the previous season, parents/guardian DO NOT have to provide proof of residency. Parents/guardian will be required to verify current residency by just showing a league official at the time of registration their driver’s license or vehicle registration or vehicle insurance card.
· Player who started his/her Little League career with the Thornydale LittleLeague whose residence changes from within the league boundary to outside the league boundary they reserve the right continue to participate with the Thornydale Little League.
· If there is a break in playing service (i.e. misses 1 full season) and the player has moved outside the league boundary, the player is not eligible to return back to the Thornydale Little League.
· The copies of proof of residency that are required at the time of registration will be kept and maintained by the League Player Agent and can be used again for those players that are eligible and are selected to participate on the Thornydale Little League all-star tournament teams.
· This eligibility procedure will be repeated on a annual basis and/or until the player has graduated from the Thornydale Little League.
PROOF OF AGE REQUIREMENTS ACCEPTABLE
FORMS OF PROOF OF BIRTH DATE
1. At the time of registration new players to the league, parents/guardian must provide to the league an original and one (1) photocopy proof of age document. If issued by federal, state or provincial registrars of vital statistics in the country in which player participating is to be presented at the time of registration.
2. For children born abroad of a parent or parents who are US citizens, any official government documents issued by a US Federal agency or service is acceptable. For military dependents, Department of Defense identification cars and military hospital certificates are acceptable. These must be original in nature and one (1) photocopy at the time of registration and must refer to a filing, recording, registration, or issue date that is within one year of the birth of the child.
3. The league player agent will keep and maintain the photocopy of the proof of age document. The league DOES NOT keep the original birth document.
4. The photocopy proof of age document will be used by the league for the player that is eligible and is selected to participate on the league all-star tournament team. The original copy of the birth document at that time will again be required by the league to be a part of the official tournament team documents. After the team certification by District 5 Administration, the original proof of age will be returned back to the parents/guardian
SIBLING REGULATION
1. Little League Baseball defines sibling options as follows:
a. Brothers/Sisters of players currently on a team.
b. Brothers/Sisters in the player selection draft.
c. Sons/daughters of Team Managers—step son/daughter is considered and permissible under this regulation.
i. NOTE: Nephews, nieces, cousins, godchildren, etc. are NOT sibling options.
2. At the time of registration it is the RESPONSIBILITY of the parents/guardian to note on the registration form if sibling conditions prevail.
3. Sons/Daughters of Assistant coaches. Coaches are not appointed or approved until after the player selection draft for the competitive divisions, thus to avoid “Red Shirting” of players through selective coaching appointments, the sibling option DOES NOT apply to assistant coaches
ACCOMMODATIONS
1. The Thornydale Little League DOES NOT honor any requests for special accommodation that involves car pooling, baby sitting, day care service, etc.
2. It is the responsibility of the parents/guardian to make any arrangements that they may have to in order to assure that a player makes or is picked up after a game or practice.

1. Due to the proof residency regulation and verification, registration must be done in person. Registration/medical release forms will be available on the registration dates listed above or they can be downloaded from the league web page (see FORMS) filled out and delivered in person at one of the registration dates.
2. REGISTRATION FEE:
· $100.00 for each player
· $250.00 family cap for 3 or more players
· Payment must be in the form of a personal check, bank check or cash.
· NO CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS ACCEPTED.
3. LATE REGISTRATION FEE: $20.00 for each player will be applied to the registration fee to those that register after MARCH 3, 2007. THIS APPLIES TO ALL AGE DIVISIONS.
4. CHECKS RETURNED FOR INSUFFICIENT FUNDS: Personal checks received back to the league due to insufficient funds will require re-payment that will include any bank fees charged to the league for this transaction. Player(s) will not be permitted to participate until the re-payment check is received in full and has cleared the bank.
5. REGISTRATION CLOSE DATES:
· Lower Baseball/softball Divisions – MARCH 15, 2007
· Upper Baseball/Softball Divisions – APRIL 15, 2007
REFUND POLICY
The league policy is that a request for refund must be submitted in writing and addressed to the league PO Box 91553, Tucson, Arizona 85752. No verbal requests will be processed.
· 100% player refund up to MARCH 15.
· 50% player refund from MARCH 16 to MARCH 24.
· 0% after MARCH 25
