THORNYDALE TO PARTICIPATE IN 2008
ACCENTURE MATCH PLAY GOLF TOURNAMENT
Want to watch Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, VJ Singh, UA graduate Jim Furyk and all the great golfers of the world compete in February? Well, you may just have the opportunity to do such a thing.
The Thornydale Little League has signed an agreement with the PGA Accenture Match Play Golf Tournament to operate for four days during the February 2008 tournament to be held at the Gallery Course (up by Dove Mountain) the concession operation at the 15th hole. This opportunity is a major fund raiser for the league.
What is required are volunteers to work the various concession operations during the tournament. One of the perks is the day(s) that you volunteer you get to park for FREE and get to watch the tournament either before or after your scheduled shift for FREE.
The dates for the event are TBA. This is not limited to just members of the league, if you have friends, co-workers, neighbors that want to see Tiger and the greatest golfers in the world compete and at the same time volunteer to help out the league this is a great opportunity to do so.
